Don't you love stories? I like reading, but sometimes I just feel lazy, or I'm too tired. That's when I like listening to stories. When I was a kid my grandmother told me stories. I can hardly recall any of them but I remember sitting by her side and listening as she told my brother and me some fantastic stories.
Now that I'm much older, I love listening to stories much more and I often listen to audio books. Now-a-days you can get almost any popular book in the audio format. With professional readers, that sound so enchanting, its worth the money you pay for the audio books.
Although if you cannot afford to buy audio books and you would still like to be entertained, you've got the option of listening to classic books that are in the public domain. There is a volunteer project called Librivox, where volunteers record books that are no longer copyrighted and these recordings are then made available for free download. They have a huge catalog of books and I'm sure you'll find something that interests you in their catalog.
This is a volunteer project so if you can spare some time they can really use your help to record the numerous books that are in the public domain. You can also help proof listen or maybe even edit the recordings. I've signed up to their forum and I hope to make myself useful to the community. I hope you'll join in too.
Thanks for the help, selurus! I'll be sure to check it out. I've also found a few ways to find audio books online...like youtube and spotify, which is always worth a look. Of course, there's not such a wide variety of books :)
