Promoting your blog posts is an integral part of the blogging process. You cannot just write great posts and hope that the world will find your content and be benefited by it. Even if you find out the answer to the greatest question and post a blog about it, no one will know about it unless you promote the post and draw the attention of the readers.
The tools I use for Blog Promotion are
Blog Engage
My primary approach to blog promotion is via Blog Engage. This is a wonderful place for bloggers to meet and vote for each others content and help promote the blogs. Thus it makes blogging a social activity rather than a solo pursuit. I strongly recommend you sign up, if you haven't already, and start engaging.
Blog Commenting
Blog commenting in also forms a major part of my promotion strategy. I like to read so I visit several blogs and try to leave relevant comments. I often get visitors from the backlinks on blogs I've commented on.
Seeded Buzz
I'm also experimenting with seeded buzz recently. Now this site is relatively new and the promotion methods are different so I have to wait and see how this works out.
Twitter
I also use twitter, but I seldom tweet about my own posts (not too comfortable tweeting my own posts). But I often Re-Tweet interesting posts and hope that others will do the same for me. And trust me I've had people RT my posts sending me an unexpected surge in traffic.
Although I've used the above mentioned tools I'm just at the brink of blog promotion and I've yet got to get my feet wet. But I'm all set to dive into blog promotion without looking back and promote my blog throughout the blogosphere. Will you join me?

Thanks for your research and sharing with us, you know most of the beginner blogger don't know what is the reason we should promote our blogs while it have to be appear in the search engines and partner sites automatically and people will come today or tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteI particularly like to comment on posts that are similar to ones that I have published. That way I can contribute to the discussion by referring to the URL of my similar post. That way others can see a different perspective on the topic discussed and can gain you some exposure while you contribute valuable information to the community.

Commenting is a natural part of reading. I just say what's on my mind after I've read the post. At times I refer to a similar post I may have written, most bloggers wouldn't mind the link as long as its relevant.
